I Like Boobies!
My birthday was fun! Brazilian BBQ, seedy jazz lounge in Chinatown, great card from Wifey, lots of tennis and a day of just laying in bed doing nothing.
I’ll have an ANTM recap tomorrow after I watch the damn episode on tape

I’m a very simple man.
March Madness and my bracket has never looked so bad. The Minneapolis Region is completely decimated, and I have only one team left in each of the other brackets: Duke, UConn and UCLA. The only real chance I have to make some money is if those three make it to the Final Four. Uy.
Besides that, nothing much really happening. Just doing some boring home stuff, writing, working and sleeping. I’m thinking of Brazilian BBQ for my bday dinner this weekend. I’ll be hitting the 27 soon. It’s funny how this shit used to affect me several yaers ago. Right now, I don’t really feel much of anything. Hopefully I get a little bit wiser. But then again, doesn’t that make people boring?
My final four: Duke, UCLA, UConn and Nevada with UConn beating UCLA in the final.
While taking a sick day Monday and working only a half day yesterday, I ended up watching tons of the Pacific Life Open on ESPN2. Since I started playing tennis again, I have been a little bit obsessive about it. As I watch I keep saying, “I can hit that shot,” or, “How the fuck does s/he do that?” And every now and again they give some good pointers. Like I shouldn’t toss my ball too high when I serve to get more power to it.
I really do need to work on my serve and backhand. My backhand is the worst. After toying around with it, I decided a one-handed backhand is the way to go. Now I’m second guessing it. I don’t know. At least I can hit forehand winners.
Nothing is more postmodern when reality tv contestants start going at each other via MySpace. Flavor of Love contestants “New York” and “Pumkin” constantly griped with each other and came to a head in the second-to-last elimination. After Pumkin was eliminated, she and New York started arguing when all of the sudden a huge noogie flew out of Pumkin’s mouth into New York’s face. A brief scuffle ensued then all was “normal” in the Flav mansion.
Taking all of this in, I can’t help but think that Baudrillard was right. He says, “The universe is not dialectical: it moves toward the extremes, and not towards equilibrium; it is devoted to a radical antagonism and not to reconciliation or to synthesis”. I’ve always thought that he was full of shit, but now with how reality tv has taken off I think I have to give him a second chance.
Speaking of reality tv, my recap of America’s Next Top Model will be posted tomorrow morning. Mwahahahah!
It feels like I’m starting to get sick right now. Just fucking great.
The Project Runway finale was just wonderful. Because of the airing schedule of the show and the date of Fashion Week, Kara Janx got to also show a collection down the runway along with the other three. The video of it is here. Sadly, I thought her line was much better than the other three.
(This goes to all the people who have searched for Kara’s shit here.)
Since I was playing tennis last night, I missed the first episode of America’s Next Top Model. Thank god I taped it.
In unrelated news, I finally finished the complete “remodeling” of my room. I got rid of a wardrobe, added a dresser, and everything looks great! This is the best looking bedroom I have ever had in my life. Woo hoo!
Hopefully I’ll post something more substantial tomorrow.
While having dinner with Yuko the other night, I was bitching about how I don’t have anything cute to wear anymore. I only like a several pieces in my wardrobe; a couple of blazers, my Velvet Underground banana tee, Andy Warhol silkscreen polo, brown polo, a couple of jeans, 666 tee. She told me to just say “fuck it” and start buying clothes.
So I’m buying this and this. For the hoodie, I’m going to do a couple of superficial things to it since I don’t like that patch on the chest.
I guess I’ll be shopping this weekend.
I am completely obsessed with all things Project Runway. I am one of those who reads Blogging Project Runway almost daily. I have gone to Daniel Vosovic’s Friendster page (since I do have an itty bitty crush on him); I read Santino’s blog occassionally; I’m completely in love with Chloe’s designs. Hell. I almost downloaded the PR ringtone from the Bravo website today.
So tonight is the Season 2 reunion episode. Then next week is the Olympus Fashion Week final. After seeing still photos of the three finalists’ (Daniel V., Santino and Chloe) and one decoy’s (Kara Janx) shows, I really thought Kara would win it all since it was the most dynamic. But when she was cut in last week’s episode, I had no clue who would win. I thought the three finalists’ collections were very boring. But my gut feeling is that Santino will win the whole thing. *shrugs*
But here is a great interview with Tim Gunn on Out.com. Being the “den mother”, it’s great to hear his opinion on the show and the designers. Ha!
Ok enough gayness for now until America’s Next Top Model starts in a couple of weeks.
