After newromantic29‘s post this morning, I remembered some old pics of me back in 1998. Go to Anti Pschutt, click on “Choose” and then “Beat Up Robert Smith”. I remember laughing throughout that “photo session”. It makes me wonder where my Bauhaus shirt went. *wonders*

ZZzzzzZZzzzzzz
That’s what I did last night. I’m nice and refreshed this morning.
I’m still miffed about the whole vacation fiasco here at work. I chewed out the HR director, so people figure I’m not happy with this turn of events. Feh. Is it Friday yet?
Ooooh! Milemarker’s coming to the West Coast!!!!!!! I’m just waiting for them to announce the LA area date. *taps foot impatiently*
Grrrrrrrrr
I got a lovely memo from our HR director a couple of minutes ago. Quote:
Due to a recent change in our sales forecast and ___ Update and to accommodate our customers needs the holiday schedule has been revised by the executive staff.
So instead of having 12/24-1/1 off, I have 12/25-27, 1/1 off. I’m just fuming a little. I hope all of the executives go sterile and get syphilis, bleed into their xmas dinner and infect their entire family. Grrrrrr
My team won!!! Yes, the Chicago Bears beat the New York Jets!!!! (Sorry. The Bears winning happens so infrequently this year that I get excited when it happens.)
Anyhow, I’m running on 3 hours of sleep. Went out with Madd to her co-worker’s Xmas party. Got drunk, stoned then went to Here in WeHo. I actually had a great time. I’ll post about it later.
The company Xmas party on Friday was eventful. The CEO and CFO getting drunker than all hell and tearing up the dance floor was quite a sight to see. Imagine middle-aged white guys dancing as if they were the sousaphone line in a marching band. Oh my. Thank god drinks were free.
On a final note, I am addicted to Trader Joes. I realize for the past several weeks I’ve only been buying my groceries there. Mmm…..
Here’s a great tale whose moral is basically Billy Corgan is an asshole.
Kelly Osbourne stoked hostilities between the Osbourne family and former Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan at the New York City area radio show, Claus Fest, in Uniondale, New York on Thursday night (December 12).
Corgan and Sharon Osbourne had a tiff several years ago, after she quit as the Pumpkins manager. The feud came alive again at the Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles on December 7. At that show, Kelly’s boyfriend, Bert McCracken of the Used, allegedly tried to trip Corgan, who performed with his new band Zwan. Corgan allegedly struck back by kicking McCracken in the stomach, according to sources at the Los Angeles radio station.
Osbourne took verbal revenge in New York, telling the crowd from the stage that Corgan performed oral favors on the program director of the New York radio station to secure a spot on the bill.
Sharon Osbourne’s relationship with Corgan went sour when she dropped the Pumpkins as a client. The band filed suit against her in early 2000. At the time of the split, Sharon said in a statement: “It was with great pride and enthusiasm that I took on management of the Pumpkins back in October [1999], but unfortunately I must resign due to medical reasons…Billy Corgan was making me sick!!!”
I guess I’m not the only person to whom Billy Corgan induces nausea.
I Throw Excrement on Yr Head
It’s Friday! *does Friday dance*
Well tonight is the company Xmas party. I trimmed the bushland known as my hair and bought a nice deep blue Geoffrey Beane shirt at Ross. Ahhh. So we’ll see what happens at the party.
For some reason, my rivethead music is finding its way into my CD player. Ahh the good ole days.
I forgot to post about this yesterday, but I caught part of the Billboard Music Awards on Monday. I’m just amazed at how little stage prescence these new performers have. Most of them look like they are in pain when on stage. Perhaps they realize how inane the songs they sing are. I dunno. It’s very… blah.
Someone amuse me!
PAYDAY!!!!!!!
*does payday dance* I must say that my payday dance and Friday dance are very similar. I need to remedy that one of these days.
I started reading JG Ballard’s The Day of Creation. So far it’s interesting. The only other book I read of his was Concrete Island back in ’98 which I thoroughly enjoyed. This book is just as intriguing as you would expect it to be.
I also started to list a bunch of CDs that came out this year that I liked. It’s such a short list. *sighs*
