I am just plain tired right about now. Another workday filled with problems and problems. Ugh. I’m just looking forward to this weekend. I might get my ass up to Santa Barbara. I might just chill here and make myself some nice drinks and just go blotto. Hmmm….

I’m trying to figure out a Halloween costume. So far the only idea I have is George W. Bush with a headwound. Anyone have any other ideas? I will luv you forever.

I am such a football junkie. I’ve been watching the pre-season games and have been loving it. I like the Tampa Bay Bucs this year. The Chargers and Redskins look like they’re going to improve this year also. So I don’t know. It looks like a free-for-all. (For any of you just snivelling at the fact that I like football, you can all go fuck yourself with rusty razorblades. So there!)

I’m just realizing that this weekend is Labor Day Weekend. Anyone have plans that I can crash in on?

Friday night was fun with coworkers. Had a couple of beers and just shot the shit. Got home pretty early (11pm). Tired. Went to bed.

Saturday I was supposed to go to Sunset Jct Fair to see Mudhoney and Sonic Youth with Madelaine. Met up with her at her place. Ends up she had a prior engagement for salsa dancing at the Marriott in Torrance. Ended up going there and ordering a Chinese chicken salad that ended giving me horrendous stomach pains. They put too much oil. Sat around reading Chomsky’s 9-11 while everyone danced. I was not in the mood for salsa. I wanted Sonic Youth. A complete waste of a night.

This afternoon, I decided to go to Amoeba to exorcise my demons from last night. Got the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s EP, Lightning Bolt’s Ride the Skies and Slint’s EP. I really like all three of them. Went to Cafe Luna on Melrose to eat and went home. All in all… what can you say? It’s a weekend I suppose.

I really don’t know what to do with myself anymore.

So it’s Friday. Tonight is a night of drinking with co-workers. I should probably check to see if there are any shows tonite. Tomorrow will be more drinking w/ urbanemonkey. Hopefully she’ll be willing to swing by Silverlake so we can see Sonic Youth tomorrow night in Silverlake at the Sunset Junction Street Fair. I should perhaps buy pants and thus complete my formula on hostile world takeover. Jyes.

I’ve been feeling quite chipper in the morning lately. I don’t feel completely worn down or anything! I don’t know what to attribute this to, but I’ll take it. So the Sunset Junction Street Fair is this weekend and Sonic Youth and Mudhoney are performing Saturday night. Since I didn’t get tix for the El Rey shows for Sonic Youth, my ass is going to be there. Anyone wanna come?
