I forgot to post about this yesterday, but I caught part of the Billboard Music Awards on Monday. I’m just amazed at how little stage prescence these new performers have. Most of them look like they are in pain when on stage. Perhaps they realize how inane the songs they sing are. I dunno. It’s very… blah.

I started reading JG Ballard’s The Day of Creation. So far it’s interesting. The only other book I read of his was Concrete Island back in ’98 which I thoroughly enjoyed. This book is just as intriguing as you would expect it to be.
I also started to list a bunch of CDs that came out this year that I liked. It’s such a short list. *sighs*
The first thing I said this morning: “It’s Friday!!!!!!!!” Boy was I wrong.
I’m on a Beatles rampage now. I’m listening to the Blue album (Best of 1967-1970), and now I want to do psychedelics again. Grrrr. Stupid Beatles.
I need a book. Any recommendations?
I hate it when I don’t have a book to read. I tried to find something amongst my bookshelves last night to no avail. *sighs* Combine that with the Bears getting their asses handed to them by the Dolphins, it was a disappointing night.
My company’s Xmas party is this Friday. I really hope I win something from the raffle this year. Last year I was sooooo shafted. First, I wasn’t hired in time to get a bonus. Then my supervisor and co-worker took the holidays off forcing me to be here. And I didn’t win anything from the raffle. This year: I get a bonus, and the company is shutting down for 2 weeks. All I have to do is win something this year, and it will make-up for being shafted last year.
N. called me up Saturday night out of the blue. He’s been out of commission since he broke his collarbone and needed to be welded together. Now that he’s been able to travel outside, we went out and la de da. Other than that, I didn’t do much of anything except for some cleaning and writing. And sleep. I *heart* sleep. Feh.

I had this dream last night that newromantic29 came over to visit me and we went about trashing and burning LA down. He’s been teasing me lately about coming out here to visit, so I guess that is what brought this dream on.
I found in my bookshelf Reinaldo Arenas’ The Color of Summer. I guess I bought it a while ago after I read Before Night Falls but never got around to reading it. Unfortunately I fell asleep after reading the first page while listening to Fleetwood Mac, but it seemed interesting.
In happy news, Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill resigned today.
