I went and saw Xmen with C., R., S. and A. It was really good. Being the pretentious artfagsnob I am, I was surprised at how well it was done. I had a couple of problems with it, but overall it was yummy.

As you can see, there is a new icon. I *heart* my digital camera. Expect every boring facet of LA to be captured by it. I already got City Hall last night, which looks pretty sexy actually. I’ll do some Photoshoppy goodness to it and all will be well.

I’m downloading e-books right now. I got a political satire piece “Right” by James Robert Baker and am currently plundering Alt-X Publishing (home of Mark Amerika). So I’ll see how it is to read a book on the computer. I’m amazed I haven’t done it yet to be quite frank. Boop.

So it’s been one helluva day. I got the camera, a Sony Cybershot DSC-S70. It’s cool. My cousin got it from a friend who never used it. Apparantly he didn’t have the USB cable. Since it’s Sony and they tend to be a pain in the ass about compatibility (read, the outlet on the camera was too small for any cable), I ended up getting one of those memory stick readers. Eh.

The rain that I’ve been bitching about the past few days has finally arrived. Now this isn’t the light showers that everyone thinks California has. No. This was a winter storm in May. I am very annoyed about it. The only good part is that I got to drive my new car in the rain, so I know how it performs in such conditions. Blah.

It’s been an action-packed night sorta. I ended up buying Amores Perros and Blur’s Greatest Hits on DVD. Mmmm…. I just realized that the two movies I’ve bought on DVD so far have been foreign films. Tee hee.

And apparantly I’m getting a digital camera tomorrow from my cousin. I *heart* my family and they *heart* me. 😀

I have an itch for live music. I love downloading live music. I’m downloading a live version of that song (the subject title) right now. I downloaded a bunch of live Unwound songs. Does anyone know of any good places that have live Unwound songs? The people on Kazaa don’t seem to have any when I’m on there.

I was out with urbanemonkey tonight. We were going to celebrate R___’s birthday, but he decided he would stay home and play video games. Whatever. We’ll probably party more tomorrow night.

Who wants to come shopping with me this weekend?

I’ve had this headache since about 2-ish this afternoon. Here’s my reaction:

I’m being a bad person. I haven’t made plans for the funeral yet. Perhaps I’ll go bar-hopping tomorrow night. Hmmm…. That sounds very tempting.

…and why are we still getting rain? Yeah, we need the rain yadda yadda yadda. But our rainy season has passed. I don’t really complain about it in the winter time, but it’s half-way through spring now. The good sign is that I will get a car wash out of it. Tee hee. Me so lazy….

I’m very close to hiring someone to fill my position. I’m not entirely happy with the applicant, but eh. I need someone ASAP. Do any of you want a job where you’re underpaid? I didn’t think so.

It’s skipping right now. Grrrr.

I really do need to write some more. I’ve been looking through notebooks and noticed that there are a lot of scribbling. Aimless nonsense (sorta like reading what I write here). Blah.

So this weekend, I expect to update my webpage a little more, shop for clothes and eau du toilette. Everything should be good. Oh. And I want DVDs. Any suggestions? Help!

I found a lovely bar in Venice tonight. It’s called Roosterfish. It’s a hole in the wall place on Abbot Kinney road that has pictures of naked men on the wall. The people are nice and I paid for my first drink only. It’s all good. The drinks are cheap and stronger than all hell. So yeah. All of y’all should go there.

I amazingly remembered my ICQ number of long ago. I’m amazed that it’s still there.

Time for sleep sometime soon…..

I went and purchased Amelieon DVD and Jungle Rules, a live concert DVD from The Blood Brothers. I can’t wait to watch them. But first I must download programs so that I can be happy with my use of this computer. Mmmmm…. I like new things. 🙂
