Because I have some unforeseen need to prove my work ethic (or something like that)

Argh!!!!
Me have headache! It’s a dull ache that just makes its prescence known. It’s more annoying than anything else, but eh. I guess that’s what I get for not drinking coffee until 2pm this morning. That and my new prescription of contacts. Everything is clear (although it looks like I’m developing astigmatism too).
Anyhow, I finally got me Adobe Illustrator. Also included is 3D Studio Max and Dreamweaver! I have yet to install these things on my computer. I guess I’ll be doing more things on my computer now. Heheh./
That’s it. Nothing all too eventful. Just lots of Xiu Xiu!!!!
Jumpin’ Jehosephat!
So I gots me Xiu Xiu’s Fag Patrol. I got #218 out of 1000. Woo hoo! It’s a very strange record by Xiu Xiu’s standards. There aren’t the obligatory clangs and miscellaneous noises. If you think their stuff is bleak on the their LPs, this will have you on the brink of suicide! It’s fucking fantabulous!
Now don’t ask me why I like this band a whole lot. I still haven’t figured it out. Jamie Stewart’s vocals annoy me at times, but at the same time it brings me to some sort of epiphany that is indescribable. I don’t know. I’ll just leave it at that and just absorb the music. Yeah. That’ll do.
Schedule for tomorrow:
That looks like a full slate to me, don’t you think?
Ok. I’m off to have dinner with my_bootay. Yay food! Yay Xiu Xiu! Yay showers (but not golden ones)! Yay not having anything of any importance to say!
I Think I’m Going Insane
I’ve decided to pick up David Foster Wallace’s Infinte Jest again from where I left off the last time I put it down (at around pg. 190). I figure it’s an exercise in masochism or something of that sort. Help!!!!!!!
OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWWD!
They did it! They made a musical for Linda Lovelace, award winning actress of Deep Throat (and I’m not talking about anything having to do with Watergate). It looks almost horrid enough to go to! To top it off, it stars Tina Yothers of Family Ties fame as Linda Lovelace!!!!!! Complete w/ soundtrack by Charlotte Caffrey (Go-Gos) and Anna Waronker (that dog). I think I just soiled my pants!
There is something in this Los Angeles heat that stirs up feelings. Feeling that everyone around me is a certified homosexual. But I’m tired of these tired homos. I want a true fag – someone who won’t stand up for these stupid spectacle of gay pride parades. Quoth Guy Debord in The Society of the Spectacle (tr. Donald Nicholson-Smith),
“The whole life of those societies in which modern conditions of production prevail presents itself as an immense accumulation of spectacles. All that once was directly lived has become mere representation.” (Thesis 1, MIT Press, 1992).
I want to live real fucking life, that’s the life for me!
I knew some theater people back in Santa Barbara who wanted the spectacle to come back. My argument: it never left society. It’s pervasive like a fart in a car. One look at those garish Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals should prove that spectacle is alive and well in theater. Unfortunately, it’s what is bringing down the entire art.
Updated Blog. It’s the home of my more ranty nonsensical stuff. When I don’t feel like having people comment on what I write, I’ll write it there. I want everything public since for me it’s nonsense to post things privately. Anyhow, no one gives a shit about anything I do. It’s not like I have 100000000 followers. It’s the stupid fucking internet fercrissakes!
Anyhow, that’s it. Thanks lotusblossom for the yummy dinner at Souplantation that was 5 years coming. 🙂 I think that potato salad really got to me. Ugh lactose intolerance.
When I got home from work, I made tuna salad. As I was putting salt in it, it came pouring out. So I had extra salty tuna salad. I’m paying it now cuz I’m drink water by the gallon. Not only am I extra thirsty now, but I am really bloated. Ugh.
So the Bush administration is defending their use of “intelligence” that led to the “War” on Iraq. Let me get this right. It’s okay to lie to your country to get them to go to war against a country that wasn’t a threat to anyone? Hmmmm.
Someone help me. I picked up David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest from where I left off the last time. Perhaps it was my success over The Brothers Karamazov that is fueling the motivation for it. I think I’m going nuts.
It’s Wednesday and I’m still surprising well rested from the past weekend. I don’t know what’s wrong with me! *shrugs*
