Wally George is dead. I don’t know whether to be really happy or sad about this. I mean, I’m laughing right now, but I laugh at everything tragic. So I don’t know. Maybe it’s an omen for the Republicans today? *shrugs*
What the fuck? You would think that being up 35-14 with 4 minutes left in regulation, you have the game in the bag. Well Indianopolis scores 3 touchdowns in that 4 minutes to tie it up at 35. In overtime, they kick a field goal to win the game. No team has ever come back down by 21 points with less than 4 minutes of regulation to win the game. Wow.
Ok. I think it’s time for my beauty sleep.
Since the only time I really watch tv is when I’m watching football, I finally saw the HP commerical that bird described in horror. They used The Cure’s “Picture of You” in their commercial hawking their digital cameras. I must say that I was horrified. You would think that knowing about it beforehand would absorb some of the shock, but no. It’s just as bad.
Oh. I totally forgot to include a Slint song in my Murder mix. Tee hee.
Today’s the last day of this circus sideshow. After 2 months of this, anarchy seems like a viable option. The only thing I have to say is that an apology can not atone for sexual battery.
I’m still stoked the Chicago Bears won yesterday. I guess a little of that rubbed off on the Cubs also. It makes me wish I was in Chicago. Hm. I’ll just gloat in front of all of the Raiders fans here at work. Tee hee.
I’m making a mix CD entitled “A Soundtrack for Murder”. Here are some of the songs I have so far:
My team! My Bears just handed the Raiders their asses on a silver platter. Woo hoo! I actually got a complaint from a neighbor from all of the noise I was making. Woo hoo! Let’s just say I’m a really happy football fan now.
Just in case you don’t believe it, here’s a recap. Part of me still can’t believe it either.
That’s it.
Work did it again. I managed to get my blood pressure boiling to volcanic proportions at 7:45 am. Luckily I had bought a whole bunch of herbal teas to soothe me. Now it’s 2:30 pm and I think it is starting to work.
Can you tell I’m happy that it’s fucking Friday?
BTW, Rufus Wainwright is fucking hot. After seeing these pictures, I really want him to sit on my face. *drool*
I went shopping tonight. Yes, I did go to the Express Men’s Fall Sale. I only came out with a sweater. But then I went to Guess and bought a pair of jeans on sale. I love sales. Tee hee.
Oooh! And I bought CDs! I got the new Outkast, Rufus Wainwright and Paris albums. For those of you who don’t know, Paris’s new album, Sonic Jihad, is probably the most rebellious album this side of September 11th. Great beats, great rhymes and very provocative words. For those of you completely against Bush and his cronies, this is a must have. Really. I’ve been listening to it all evening.
Please give me the strength to make it through tomorrow.
So thanks to lotusblossum I’ve been getting headaches everyday. For Xmas she bought me a New York Times crossword puzzle 365-day calendar. Being the nut I am, I do them everyday. You know it’s a bad sign when without hesitiation I write down “TAIPEI TYPE A” for “Aggressive, competitive person from Taiwan’s capital?” or “ODIUM” for “loathing”.
