Ok. I’ve been without a computer for the past couple of days. The move was completed Wednesday night/Thursday morning. 3 am to be exact. Yesterday involved moaning about EVERYTHING being sore, including my head!

Status: room halfway complete; kitchen halfway complete; Roomie’s room halfway complete; living room and dining room a complete mess. Hopefully we can get shit done this weekend.

But I am really happy. I have a blue bathroom (including a blue toilet!) Everything is bright and clean. I love having my own washer and dryer. I have a HUGE kitchen. This is a really great place. I really really love it.

Yesterday, it was Michael Jackson’s acquittal.

Today it’s Phil Jackson’s re-hiring as coach of the Lakers.

• Box up all of my shit.
• Move shit tomorrow.
• Unpack.
• Get wardrobes from Madd.
• Buy bookcases.
• Start gathering miscellaneous things for letter writing.
• Furniture shopping. Need couch, rugs, artwork, new bed. Everything!!!!

On top of it, my back is completely killing me. That what I get for doing some heavy lifting here at work. Ugh.

Yup. The move is tomorrow. How exciting and nerve racking!

Ever since I bought the new Fischerspooner album, I’ve been on a Boredom’s binge. Since they did a cover of “(circle)” from vision Creation Newsun, I’ve had the Boredoms going on non stop. Even their early stuff!

So Saturday I bought the new Boredom’s release Seadrum/House of Sun. It’s really really good (unlike what this stupid Pitchfork guy says).

Oh. And I’ve decided that I want to start snail mailing people. Helping Roomie go through her years of correspondence got me a little jealous. So if you want a letter, send me your street addy at jnb3 [at] artindeepkoma [dot] com.

For whoever has seen me in the past week or so, you’ve heard this before. But I really don’t want to move. No. So how this for stalling?

Last night I went and saw I’m Gonna Kill the President: A Federal Offense w/ scooter0101001 and feralboy. It was a good enough play. There were funny parts, and the ending was pretty cool. I signed an affidavit that I can’t divulge any details of the play, so I’ll just leave it at that.

Then today I went to the Running of the Gays aka LA Gay Pride. I hate West Hollywood. I really really hate West Hollywood. I went more out of obligation since I haven’t been to one of these since 2002. I remember why.

This guy comes up to me just as I entered the festival “quarantine” area. He wanted me to take a survey about men’s sexuality. I said no thanks. He becomes more persistant, and I continue to say no. Then he starts insulting me saying that I’m a closet case and I need to liberate myself. Instead of decking him, I just chewed him out. Ugh.

As I walked around, the guys just got uglier and uglier. Not physically, but they had very negative energy. Anyhow, I was just about running to get back to my side of town where I can breathe easier.

Monday night, Roomie and I head off to the Greek Theater to see Kraftwerk. Now we didn’t actually get tickets. We just sat on the bench in front of the venue and watched the video screen. Goddamn it was good. For their encore, they did “We Are Robots” with robots performing the music and dancing. Hot! For a free thing, it was damn good!

Then last night, we had some new skunks come in: a baby one and it’s momma. Roomie decided it would be cool to pet the baby one. See?

Cool shit yo. I got in on the petting action. Their coat is very shiny but is in dire need of Pantene Pro-V Conditioner for Colored, Permed and Damaged hair. Very very rough.

I got back from Vegas last night. It was tons of fun spending time with nkoan and vanillaspice. We didn’t kill each other!

The highlight was the blackjack dealer at The Boardwalk. She was this tiny Southeast Asian lady who had more spunk than a Faultline gloryhole. She was bitchy, funny and very witty. LOVE HER!

Anyhow, I think I’m going to see Kraftwerk tonight. Hehehe. Oh and thank you wifey for the Best of Rodney on the ROQ! I *heart* it.

I didn’t know how I was going to be when I went to see the Pixies tonight. Since I have so much going on, I wasn’t as anxious for someone who’s been waiting over 10 years to see this band.

Once scooter0101001 and I got to the Wiltern, we sat down in our back back row seats. Yes. The back row of the balcony. It seemed like shitty seats, but oh well.

Then they came on and played “In Heaven (Lady in Radiator Song)”, the slow version with Kim on vocals. I jumped out of my seat and started swaying. Then “Wave of Mutilation (Surfer UK Mix)”. Then who knows? They played (in no particular order and not complete):

I started dancing around, spazzing out, doing everything I haven’t done at a concert since I was a teenager. So it was a good thing no one was behind me. And it didn’t matter that I was far away. The Pixies have a way of including everyone in the show. If they played at a huge arena, I would probably still enjoy the show.

The only negative was the crowd. About 97% of the crowd did not dance around or anything. They just sat still (or stood still as was the case for the general admission crowd). This is the fucking PIXIES!!! Fucking MOVE!!!

Nevertheless I finally got to see them, and I am still bouncy from the show. BEST. SHOW. EVER.

Now off to Vegas. Feel better cephyn. Happy Birthday lotusblossom.

Pixies show tommorow. Las Vegas this weekend. Start moving next weekend. Europe at the end of the month. Las Vegas again the weekend after I come back to the States. It’s going to be marvelous!

I bought the new Sleater-Kinney and Fischerspooner albums this weekend. I love the new Fischerspooner more than the first album. Hell, they even do a cover of the Boredoms! I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a Boredoms cover. Ever! Overall, the music is tighter, the lyrics less self absorbed thanks to Susan Sontag and David Byrne. Yummy!

The new S-K album is a little bit of a let down. It’s heavier but not as fun as the last album. Perhaps it will grow on me. And an 11-minute guitar/drone solo?! What the fuck?!

• Got my car completely cleaned and washed. I haven’t done this since before the rains began in December.
• Went to Whole Foods Market 3 times for cat food. They didn’t have the one my cats adore.
• Reaffirmed my love affair with Brainiac and The Liars.
