I’m a bit upset at my team right now. For those of you not in the know, I am a huge Chicago Bears fan. After the last game of the season, they fired their head coach Dick Jauron after going 7-9 this season and 4-12 last season. Although I liked Jauron, I didn’t disapprove of the move. Fine. It was no question that Jerry Angelo, the Bear’s general manager, wanted LSU head coach Nick Saban. However Saban has said all along that he has no desire to leave LSU, so that should be the end of the story right? While still wooing Saban, Angelo was really impressed with Jim Mora Jr, the SF 49ers defensive coordinator. However he still wanted Saban. Results? Mora got the head coaching job at Atlanta, Saban signed a $3-million contract with LSU making him the highest paid college football coach, and Chicago is back to square one. Basically Angelo fucked it up. Now he better hope that he can get either St. Louis d/c Lovie Smith or New England o/c Charlie Weis. Grrrrrrrrrr. Sorry. I had to get that off of my chest.
