Machu Picchu.
Being the retard I am, I tried to give Madd her b-day present. Why am I such a retard? I should have given it to her weeks ago when we went to Vegas. My dumb ass left the present at home. I haven’t had time to give it to her, so finally today I was determined. I went over to drop it off at her job since she usually works on Saturdays. I get there, and alas she had the day off. Oh well. Some other day. The weirdest thing is that I haven’t talked to her since the Vegas trip. I know she wasn’t entirely happy with the whole trip — it was a big let-down for her. I don’t know if it had anything to do with me or what. I don’t know.
Anyhow, I went to the Natural History museum to see the Machu Picchu exhibit with my_bootay, urbanemonkey and B__. Let it be known no one should go there when the USC football team is playing a home game (especially after they win the Orange Bowl the previous year). Parking was $15, and there was more than the fair share of idiot drivers to go around.
The exhibit itself was a bit of a let-down. There was nothing revelatory. It was cool seeing the artifacts first-hand, but it was quite cheesy and crowded. Eh. The other parts of the museum were kick ass such as the gem/mineral section and the live bugs section. All in all it was quite fun.
Lately I’ve been seeing cute guys around. It’s odd since I rarely see anyone who strikes my fancy. I don’t know whether it’s because I’ve been a bit horny. *shrugs* I also don’t know why my posts lately have been so long. Heheh. I guess I’m handing out more torture for your buck. Mwahahhaha. World domination here I come!
Shoes!!!
I LOVE SHOES!!!!!!!! I did go to Steve Madden, but I did not get the shoes I had previously looked at. First of all they didn’t have my size. Although it sorta fit, it made my feet look big. Also the soles were very uncomfortable. They looked cute, but nah. I know better than to buy shoes because of cuteness. I really dig the ones I got, however I cannot seem to find them on the website. So you guys will just have to imagine a swanky pair of black leather shoes with cool soles and great stitch design. Ha! And thanks to my_bootay for the pick. If it weren’t for her, I would’ve ended up with no shoes tonight.
Tomorrow, it looks like I will be going to the Natural History museum to see the largest collection of Incan treasures to be displayed in the US. It looks like a whole bunch of fun. Once again, thanks to my_bootay for the heads up. Without her, I would be a useless pool of goo (or something amorphous like that).
Sleep beckons me my children. SLEEP!
Day 2
Well yesterday could have been worse. For the entire day it felt like I was on some very weak acid. My entire body alternately ached then became tingly and never at the same time. My eyes felt like they were going to pop out, and I was ready to murder people. So all in all it was a good day. Right.
In lieu of sucking on cancer sticks, I decided to shop for cancer machine plans last night. You did read correctly. I am >< this close to breaking down and getting a cell phone. So far I like T-Mobile and Cingular. My only question really is the quality of service by these two providers. What can y'all tell me? Should I be looking at other people? I was talking with N___ a couple days ago, and he happened to mention playing basketball with these Korean kids who went to my high school. He brought up this affliction that seems to hit Korean-American kids at around high school. See what happens is they go throughout most of their childhood not speaking a lick of Korean, hence they have no Korean accent in their English. For some reason at around high school, they all of the sudden develop Korean accents, have complete grasp of the Korean language and every annoying trait because of all of this(ie saying "Je-jus" instead of "Jesus"). The funny thing is when I hear them speak Korean, it's a complete jumble of nonsense. Five-year olds in Korea have a better grasp of grammar than these kids do. What's the point? I haven't had a cigarette since 11pm on Wednesday, and I'm going crazy. I don't know how you non-smokers do it. *rolls eyes*
Surprise of the Decade
Universal Music to drop price of CDs?!!! Wow. So now they’re back to the prices circa 1991.
Day 1
Hehhe. The first day sans cigarettes. Actually it’s really depressing because it’s been 10 hours since my last cigarette, and I’m already starting to shake and be irritable. Am I really THAT addicted?
Strategy: In my head, I’m telling myself it’s not bad. I can get through this. Although I know this quitting thing is going to be permanent, I keep telling myself that it’ll be only a week. I figure this way my mind will be more apt to go through the torture of the first week if I say it’s temporary. Eh. Whatever. I’m just chewing the hell out of this stick of gum.
Oh and yes, I am doing this cold turkey. Perhaps things would be easier if I weren’t listening to the Smiths. Oh well.
Oh My Tummy
My tummy hurts right now. I don’t know exactly why, but it does. I think I have to drop some kids off at the pool, if ya know what I mean. Hehehe.
I went from 4:30pm yesterday to 7:00am this morning without a cigarette. I had a craving only once at around 10pm when I got a hold of a Cuban ciggie (one of my employees bought me a pack from Cuba when he went on vacation). The manure-like smell of it definitely turned me off from smoking it. But other than that, it went by pretty well. So hopefully when I officially stop smoking tomorrow, it won’t be too bad. I hope. <:\ As for now, I'm really craving Souplantation. I love their selection of veggies, and their chili is to die for! Mmmmmmm. I can picture it as I type. *salivates* Is it Friday yet?
I’m Alive!!!
Waking up was such a chore. After waking up @ 2pm yesterday, the whole sleep thing was just fucked. Oh well. That’s why god invented naps, right?
Anyhow, here are a couple of things I’m thinking of buying this weekend:
So there you have it. If anyone should want to escort me this weekend on my mad-filled shopping extravaganza, let me know. I *heart* company on these excursions.
I recant my earlier statement regarding dgenerator. I saw him Saturday night, and all is well.
I am back home from my over-stimulating weekend in SB. It was fun seeing everyone, some of whom I haven’t seen in over 2 years. Yay! No boring details for you folks since about half you were part of it all. Yay!
So I slept in until 2pm today and took a nap at 5. Blah blah blah. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll be more motivated.
