Ok. Santa Barbara was a whole lot of fun. It’s moments like last night that remind me why I gained so much weight living in SB.

First off, I saw Alex and Raf for all of 5 minutes — they were off to the Universal Amphiteatre to see Iron Maiden. Don’t worry, I did make my comments on that.

We then headed off for Thai food. Not only was it very good, but for 13 people it cost $175.00 including tax and gratuity! So if you’re on Milpas and want Thai food, go to Your Place. Mmm mmm good.

Of course, no visit to SB would be complete without drinking. So here are drunken pictures. Actually the first one was taken before the partaking begun.

On Friday’s, I usually go to dinner with my_bootay. Over the last month or so, we’ve noticed that we’ve had a hard time coming up with things to do after dinner. Yesterday the same routine ensued. Finally I just asked why this was happening. The words that came out of her mouth was pure evil.

“Face it. Our lives are centered on our work.”

When the fuck did this happen?!!!!

[note: For those of you who haven’t had to be tortured by my acquaintance for an extended period of time, I usually get the birthday psychosis-thing going around February.]

I guess all I can do right now is wave at the people in SB. *sniffle, sniffle* That’s it. Peace out.

I’m still on the fence as to whether to go to SB or not. On the one hand, it sounds like everyone and their mothers are going to be there. It’ll be a fun time filled with alcohol-related regrets.

However, I am still trying to recover from this cold. I wanted to use this weekend to rest up and get well. Oh, and most importantly, I’m poor. I just paid my registration fees for El Camino this week, and it looks like I’ll be a scavenger this coming week.

So I think I will regretfully not make it up this weekend. *sighs*

But I was wondering if it would be ok to celebrate my birthday up there this year. It conveniently falls on a Saturday this year (March 27), and for some reason I want to make a big deal out of it. Don’t ask me why. (Well it may be because my car insurance rates will go down. Woo hoo!!!!!!!)

Anyhow, hmph. I hope you kids have a ball (or two).

Goddamit! Everyone is going to be in SB. I was planning on doing nothing this weekend so I could fully recuperate from my cold. Perhaps I’ll just say “fuck my health” and just go for Saturday. *shrugs*

Who’s up for seeing Blonde Redhead with me on March 20? I guess I’ll use that to help celebrate my 25th birthday. That is a Saturday night, and it’s at the Henry Fonda and is $17 (probably around $25 w/ service charge).

I’m surprised I’m still here at work. I might actually make it for a full day!

I’m at work again. Hopefully I’ll be able to last the entire day. If not, oh well.

The tennis season has begun, and already we have some surprises. Andy Roddick will not be #1 after this week since he lost to Marat Safin in the quarters at the Australian Open. Agassi is also out losing to Safin in the semis. So in the finals it looks to be Safin and the winner of Ferrero v. Federer. I predict Safin will be the upset winner of the AO. (Side note: Federer will become the new #1 unless Ferrero wins the AO).

Last night, I watched tv. Let me rephrase that. No. Last night, I watched reality tv. American Idol, The Bachelorette and Celebrity Mole. Fuck. I can see why the shit is addicting, but you’ve got to be kidding me. I don’t see how people can watch this shit without feeling dirty. You know? Having to take a bath in Holy Water.

Which leads me to the conclusion: I should never ever EVER be sick again. It does bad things to my head.
