Yesterday lotusblossom and I ditched work and went to Magic Mountain. We went on all the important rides with minimal lines. I think the longest wait we had was Tatsu which was like 1 1/2 hours. We ended up leaving the park at 7 because we’re old fogeys. But we did have some yummy Japanese food in Burbank before going home. Yum. Oh and my domain name transfer went through, but I have to reset the name servers. So my actual website is down for a couple of days. Yup. Everything’s back up.

After going to Souplantation with evildork and lotusblossom, I went to buy chonies which I was in dire need of. Somehow I feel more fulfilled and less on-edge because of this.

Yesterday was one of my employee’s birthday. We took her to the Brazilian BBQ place I went on my birthday. I did a smart thing and put my belt on a little too tight to limit occupancy. I still felt like shit afterwards, but oh well. C’est la vie, oui?

I went shopping with angiewarhol yesterday. We went to Melrose and Beverly Center. I wanted to buy some nice boots to sort of wear everyday. Something a little gothy but not too over the top. To my horror, the only things I saw were either too plain or too over-the-top. So fuck it. I’ll just buy something overpriced @ Beverly Center. Unfortunately I found nothing there either. I ended up getting a zip-up sweater from French Connection on sale. Madd was supposed to go with me to this excursion but couldn’t because of familial obligations. So we decided to just have dessert. We went to Cafe des Artistes near Hollywood & Highland. Perfecto!

Yesterday was the day of a million stops. lotusblossom and I went to Target, Whole Foods etc. I was supposed to go to the cemetary for the screening, but I was just so pooped. So I stayed in, did some cleaning, watched some movies and slept.

After work, I went with lotusblossom and angiewarhol to Cobras & Matadors where we had yummy tapas, sangria and fun raunchy conversation. True the bill came out to $130 w/ tax & tip, but it was well worth it. Oh and to that someone who is reading this, this asshole is doing very well thank you very much.

There are four shows coming up in October and one in November I want to go see: Sufjan Stevens (10/9), Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! (10/14), Ladytron + CSS (10/17), Yo La Tengo (10/23) and Islands (11/10). It’s an extravaganza! Roomie had invited her friends over to sample sugar cane juice. When I got home last night I almost cried and came at the same time: all of the boxes in our living room had gone away! Everything was put away, and my house looked like an actual home!

Last night, the movie night crew watched Princess Bride with some help of a mashed potato bar. I had reservations about it, but it was very very yummy. I helped! I brought some bacon and pancetta, and I turned the water in the sink off and on. I’m so talented. It was fun to hang out with angiewarhol‘s boytoy outside of the confines of a restaurant. He’s funny. 🙂

It’s funny how our landlord tends to only respond to me. I don’t know what it is, but he tends to be nice to me. *shrugs* I made some adjustments to my pork chop recipe I made a couple of weeks ago. I used leeks with cubanelle peppers. I heart leeks.

Work is so fucking boring. I know I’ve been complaining about how slow it’s been the past month or so. But this is just ridiculous! Since every possible person I report to is on vacation this week, I just left early. After taking a little nap, I made some din-din and just chatted online. I know, very productive.
