I got called to report for jury duty. Ugh. It was a day filled with boredom. Yes I had a book. Yes I had my iPod. But oh my god it was so fucking boring. I wanted to throw myself against the walls or something. Ugh. Fortunately I didn’t get picked so that means no more jury duty for me!!!!
Movie night!!! And we watched Blazing Saddles while eating stuffed flank steak and potato wedges and broccoli. Yum yum. Then when I got home it was Project Runway. OMG!
I was supposed to get some fucky sucky, but that fell through. It’s quite sad really because he said stuff like, “I’ll fuck you bleeding and screaming and make you like it,” and, “I’ll make your tits fall off.” That’s the most romantic thing anyone has said to me. Ever. So I ended up just reading, making a mix CD for a departing exec. asst. here at work and watching parts of Gilmore Girls when I remembered it was on. Oops.
Combined, lotusblossom and I bought over $400 worth of Dodger playoff tickets yesterday at 10am. She bought 4 tickets to the 2nd home game of the divisional series and 4 to the 2nd home game of the NLCS. I bought 4 tickets to the first home game of the divisional series. Now they better fucking make it to the playoffs. After work we went over to Outback Steakhouse and got chicken and salmon. Go figure. I also some cute shoes that I think I’m going to buy today.
OOooooh. I woke up to watch my Bears play. They actually showed a Bears’ game here in LA! I was a bit distracted trying to locate lotusblossom since we were going to the Dodgers’ game. She wasn’t picking up her cell phone. Anyhow, evildork and I went on without her, and she called up right as we were in the parking lot. She thought it was a night game! Anyhow she eventually made it in the 3rd or 4th inning, so all was well. We won, and I found out my Bears won! Yay. To celebrate we decide to pick up angiewarhol and go to Pinks. Mmmmm.
I was a hermit all day. I just did some house things like mopping and such. I didn’t feel like leaving the house.
Despite getting less than four hours of sleep, I was able to go through the work day rather painlessly. I couldn’t take a nap since I had a ton of laundry to do. But once I finished, I got in bed and fell asleep while trying to watch Ma Vie en Rose. I only watched about 10 minutes of it. Blah.
The excitement from Monday night’s game still hadn’t gone down. I was completely unfocused all day, I couldn’t stand it. I had dinner with evildork, lotusblossom and angiewarhol and then watched Disc 3 & 4 of the final season of Queer as Folk. I didn’t fall asleep until after 3 am. Me so tired.
