I was at the Dodger’s game last night with my employees. What an amazing game. We are down 9-5 in the bottom of the ninth. People are streaming out of the stadium. Jeff Kent is up to bat and hits a dinger. JD Drew (Princess) hits a dinger. Russell Martin (my boyfriend #1) hits a dinger. Marlon Anderson hits a dinger. We are only the fourth team and the first in over 40 years to hit four consecutive homers in an inning. So it’s 9-9. Top of the tenth we give up another run: 10-9 Padres. Bottom of the tenth Kenny Lofton walks. Nomar “Mr. Mia Hamm” Garciaparra is up to bat in all his injured hamstring glory and takes a 3-1 ball out of the park for a two run walk-off homer. We win 11-10. The chaos that ensues in the parking lot is nothing short of sublime. I’m ecstatic that I witnessed this historic comeback in person. It’s a good day to be a Dodger’s fan.
