I thought I was going to be nervous about the interview today, but surprisingly I’m not. I guess it’s just an excuse for me not to be at work. Or something like that. One of my big projects here at work is retooling my department’s work instructions. The ones we have currently aren’t comprehensive enough. And since we’re a public company, we have to be compliant with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (created after the Enron, Arthur Anderson mess). So here I go. I haven’t done technical writing since my days as an Engineering major. But here I am doing it again. Everytime I want to use a metaphor, I have to bite my lip. This is the driest shit I’ve ever written, and I’m being complimented about my writing style. Ugh. This is really a bitch. But I guess I’m good at it, so I’ll just keep working on it.
