I Swear I’m Going to Leave on Time Today

Really. This week I have not left any earlier than 5:30. It’s starting to drive me crazy. Fortunately I have hired somebody who will start next week. So this will definitely be a temporary thing. But I’m so exhausted mentally. I really should have called in sick today. My brain is on overload, and I don’t know if I can take any more work being dumped on me. It seems like this week they added a whole new full-time job to me. I’m just hoping the person I’m hiring will take this load off of me. That being said, I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY need a drink tonight. The theme for this weekend: Get Jimmy Really Fucked Up So He Can’t Think About Work. One more thing. On ESPN Radio here in LA, the drive-time DJs have a segment on Thursdays called, “Who Do You Want To Kick Out of LA?” It is a moment of catharsis for sports fans. Right now, my answer to that will be the LA Lakers. Fuck them. That was one of the most miserable performances I have seen from them EVER.
