I ended up going to dinner with lotusblossom and her coworker/friend Athan last night. We decided to play a game of drunken Scrabble afterwards. They quickly decided to abandon the rules of the drinking portion when I got a triple word score using the word “QATS” on my third turn. Either way, I only had one drink and that’s that. Tonight there is an opening at 33 1/3 Books in Echo Park. The Montreal-based art collective Heavyweight specializes in portraits of cultural icons of note. The artwork on their website is pretty cool. So if anyone wants to check it out with me, let me know. I have no idea why I came to work today. I’ll just do the LA Weekly crossword puzzle all day. Yeah! That’s it. Pfft.
