Addendum

Another thing I’m thankful for: wearing 2 layers of socks Saturday night. Each time I go to the Smell, my feet are more frozen than the Green Bay tundra of Lambeau Field in December. Because of the two layers, my feet were mildly chilly. It also makes me think I should do this more often since my feet are frozen right now. Ugh. In addition to wishing for warm feet, I’m wishing that my weekly football picks were warmer. For the last month, I’ve been hovering at 0.500, although I’ve never gone below that mark. Yeah it’s half right and all, but it ain’t gonna win me any money. Yesterday San Diego, Atlanta and Jacksonville (all 1-7 teams coming into the week) defeat Minnesota (6-2), New York Giants (4-4) and Indianapolis (6-2) respectively. So I just give up. From this point on, my picks will reflect which city I would rather visit. I guess that’s as good as anything. I mean, can I really be sure that Denver will defeat San Diego next week? Can Seattle really crush Detroit? Will Cincinnati stop the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs? Who knows anymore? One thing is certain: I can’t wait until the 21st when Xiu Xiu and Old Time Relijun will be playing and the 22nd when the Get Hustle will be playing all at the Smell. I’ve yet to see any of these bands so it will be grrrrrrrrrr-eat! Um that’s it.
