I Love Football Season

It looks like it’ll be another long year for my Bears. In the off-season, they lost a lot of defensive players which will cost them. The only good thing to come from the off-season was quarterback Kordell Stewart (who was benched last season in Pittsburgh after the explosiveness of Tommy Maddox). So I knew they were going to be pretty bad again this season. But watching their game against the 49ers was painful. They lost 49 to 7. Ouch. I was hoping they win at least 6 games this season, but it doesn’t look to be. *sigh* On the upside, Andy Roddick won the US Open. Woo!!!! I will be seeing Raffiki on Tuesday. He got on the guestlist to the Your Enemies Friends’ show at the Echo and invited me. So it will be cool. He’s one of the few people I didn’t gert to see during my frequent trips to SB last month, so it’ll be nice. Oh one more football note. The only games I got wrong this week:
  • St. Louis Rams vs. New York Giants. I seriously thought the Rams were going to be good this season. I was wrong. NY won 23-13.
  • New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks. I know the Saints do an annual dive at the end of the season, but they’re usually really strong in the beginning. Seattle won 27-10.
  • Houston Texans vs. Miami Dolphins. I don’t think anyone could have seen this one coming. How does a second-year expansion team beat a team that is favored to win the Super Bowl this year? Texans win 21-20. So far Tennessee is over the Raiders 12 to 10 at the top of the 3rd. And tomorrow I have Tampa Bay to win over Philly. That’s it. If anyone want to do anything with me on Sundays, you’ll have to wait until February. I’m sorry.
